SIGNATURE EVENTS

Throughout the wedding planning, Signature Events were created for Jody & Billie to help build upon the bond of the guests toward the couple and one another. Participating in these signature vents help guests know they are more an integral part of the wedding community surrounding our couple. Here are a few details developed to heighten Jody and Billie’s guest’s wedding experience.

Website & Insta-Hashtag:

The #BrecheenDream hashtag was born; and, a website was created. Like an uplifting tale, the couple’s story was shared in sweet detail on their site.

Save The Date:

The couple's "Save The Date" cards were purposefully created with a tree (and a heart carving with the couple's initials). The couple's engagement occurred under a tree. They plan also to wed under a tree. The tree is the primary binding theme which will plays throughout the engagement, wedding, and reception. These details lend in the emotional anticipation of the wedding.

Engagement Party:

The bride's parents held an Engagement Party at their home to celebrate the couple. Close friends, family and the couple's wedding party attended. Louie also attended. Louie is a popular pup personality and an easy-going theme sprinkled throughout each event in which he appears. Louie offers us not only the “awwwwww” factor; but an emotional reset in which the guests’ emotive build-up toward the gravity of the big, beautiful wedding event may be released in laughter.

Bridal Luncheon:

Billie and her mother, Frances, planned a fun-filled luncheon for the girls of the bridal party. Each invitation had handmade elements from Planet Paper, creating a genuinely elevated luxury to this simply lovely lunch. The bride created a hand-crafted runner for her bridal party's lunch. A color scheme of pinks made the party feel super-girly; and, as the lunch was planned close to Valentine's Day, they celebrated "Gal-entine's Day" and it was chock-full of "X's" & "O's"! Gifts were given and friendships celebrated.

Welcome Party:

Out of town guests were greeted with a welcome package including a detailed schedule, hand-illustrated area maps noting important spots and points of interest, sparking waters, late-night snacks, coke and diet coke options, a sweet treat; and a gift card to Starbucks for a lovely morning-of latte'.

Rehearsal Dinner:

The groom’s parents created a beautiful Welcome & Rehearsal experience for guests. The intention of including a Welcome with the Rehearsal was to show a sincere appreciation of all the out-of-town guests who traveled to attend the couple’s wedding. The Welcome Party was held following the Rehearsal and coincided with the Rehearsal Dinner. The twinkly outdoor lights created romantic anticipation to the wedding day! For the rehearsal dinner, menus sat atop each plate with a sprig of fresh rosemary. An attached note told each guest that Rosemary is the herb for 'remembrance' and representative of those unable to attend the weekend's special events.

Photo Sign-In:

When guests arrive at the wedding’s sign-in table they have a first opportunity to pause and take in the experience. Here they see “the sign-in book experience” and prior arrivals have paved the way providing their images and wishes. The guests have the opportunity to identify with this as a precious opportunity to share a sweet photo and their personal wedding wishes in this true-life time capsule of the wedding day.

Poetry in the TREES:

“Trees” a beautiful poem written by Joyce Kilmer in 1913, was selected by the bride and groom to be included in the couple's wedding program. The poem is a reminder of the proposal which occurred under a special tree, and the wedding too takes place under a stunning tree. The tree stands as a signature wedding theme.

Ceremony Hankies:

Vintage hankies are offered to each guest as they are seated for the ceremony. These soft, vintage hankies will be like sweet miniature security-blankets. They will be clutched, used to blot, and to catch sweet happy tears. The hankies afford an unstated invitation too for a centering moment of lovely nostalgia.

Acoustic Music:

The ceremony’s acoustic guitar musicians created a recognizable simpatico to the groom’s gift for playing music and the couple's love for this style of music. The theme of the music and guitar is another charming appeal toward the couple and their big day. Each acoustic rendering was a selection made by the couple. Many tunes are familiar to guests, inviting the loving lyrics to flow through their current thoughts creating more magical emotionally charged moments, further investing the guest’s emotional presence.

Warming of the Rings:

The couple's rings were threaded through a ribbon from the back to the front of the seated guests. The card attached invited each guest to hold the rings and quietly say a wish or a prayer for the couple as the rings made their way to the front, toward the Best Man. As the ceremony progressed, the Officiant will remind the guests of their participation in the experience of holding the couple's hearts.

Reception Bonfire:

This outdoor, acoustic guitar, tree themed event played well for a bonfire. The bonfire was warmly provided as a gift from the wedding party. The groomsmen labored the effort of the lumber and kept the fire safely burning.

Doggy Bags:

With a nod to Louie and all the dogs not present for the wedding, little doggie bags were afforded guests with dog bones to take home to their own little furry loves, compliments of Louie.

Birdseed:

Heart-shaped suet hangers, affixed with the quote: "All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all." - Cecil Frances Alexander – was offered guests to take home from their outdoor wedding experience with our couple, to share the ongoing love… among the trees and birds.

What-A-Wedding:

During the reception, the fry station crew worked hard and created to-go-packages of small sliders, fries, and a Coca-Cola for late-night noshing. Now THAT is one for the road!

I Love You a BRUNCH:

Following the wedding day, the bride's family hosted an "I love you a BRUNCH" (thank-you for coming) celebration prior to everyone departing. For the family members who can't stay and brunch long... or with a long journey ahead... homemade cinnamon rolls were packaged to serve as the sweet treat that keeps 'em reeling in the feelings.
