ANTICIPATION
The couple's "Save The Date" card's design depicts a tree with a heart carving and the couple's initials. As guests now know, the couple's engagement occurred under a tree. They plan also to wed under a tree. This is the primary binding theme which will play out throughout the engagement, wedding, and reception. These subtle details lend in the emotional anticipation of the wedding.
The bride's parents held an Engagement Party at their home to celebrate the couple. Family and the couple's wedding party attended. Let the official wedding plans commence! (Yes. Of course. Louie was there too.)
Billie and her mother, Frances, planned a fun-filled luncheon for the girls of the bridal party. Each invitation had handmade elements from Planet Paper, creating a genuinely elevated luxury to this simply lovely lunch.
The bride created this sweet hand-crafted runner for her bridal party's lunch. A color scheme of pinks made the party feel super-girly; and, as the lunch was planned close to Valentine's Day, they celebrated "Galentine's Day" and it was chock-full of "X's" & "O's"!!!
Following lunch, a delicious "naked" cake was served & the girls toasted the bride with a few sips of champagne. To add a special thanks, the bridesmaid's also received a small gift from the bride at the luncheon.
To add to the anticipation of the big-day, a "WELCOME Party" was planned by the bride's family to show sweet appreciation of all the out-of-town guests who traveled to attend the wedding. The Welcome Party was held following the Rehearsal and coincided with the Rehearsal Dinner. The twinkly outdoor lights created romantic anticipation to the wedding day!
Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were served at the Rehearsal Dinner. The beverages were colorful and delicious.
Out of town guests were greeted with a welcome package including hand-illustrated area maps, sparking waters, late-night snacks, a sweet treat; and a gift card to Starbucks for a morning latte'.
Rehearsal dinner menus sat atop each plate with a sprig of fresh rosemary. Rosemary is the herb for 'remembrance' and representative of those unable to attend the weekend's special events.
Place cards were created for the Rehearsal Dinner from small pine cones. The pine cones are reflective of the tree symbolism and imagery noteworthy throughout the celebrations.
Specialty cocktails were crafted for the wedding party in precious copper mugs. Each mug was labeled with the recipient's name and served as a gift to the couple's attendants and ushers.
The bride donned this super-romantic, whispy, baby-blue handkerchief-style dress to the Rehearsal and Dinner. She was a vision!
Copper vases were centerpieces for the Rehearsal Dinner. The copper adds a rich aesthetic and complimented the wedding party's copper mugs.
Adorable frosted cookies shaped as champagne bottles were set out for the girls, vendors, and visitors to the bridal suite throughout their 'get-ready' process. Plenty for everyone from the hairdresser to the florist to the best friend of the groom's mom, who all wanted to sneak-a-peak and wish the bride well!
The morning of the wedding, as the wedding party and others prepared for the day's events, delicious catered eats (like chicken and waffles) were set out with fresh fruit and an assortment of other brunch items to keep everyone well fed and energized for the day ahead.
A prepared delicious tray of chicken and waffles is circulated for all to enjoy.
Following the wedding day, the bride's family hosted an "I love you a BRUNCH" (thank-you for coming) celebration prior to everyone departing.
French toast sticks were a part of the "Love you a BRUNCH" eats.
An assortment of gourmet juices and fresh fruits were also set out for the thank you brunch. Champagne was also offered as a self-serve mimosa bar.
The goodbye brunch included fancy donuts. The lovely and light spring colors were a sweet reminder of the lilt of love still lingering.
